Mountain Man Rendezvous

Our 4th grade Mountain Man Rendezvous CET is this Friday at 1:45 p.m. A mountain man rendezvous was an annual gathering in the 1800s where mountain men, fur trappers, and traders met to trade furs, supplies, and stories. These gatherings were also a time for feasting, socializing, and planning for the year ahead.

  • Students will experience life in the fur trade era.
  • Hands-on activities, stations, and demonstrations.
  • Dressing the part, trying old-fashioned skills, and learning by doing!
  • A fun day of history coming to life.

Utah Counties Fair

Students will become experts on one of Utah’s 29 counties and share what they learn.

Step 1

Research

Students research their assigned county using books, websites, maps, and primary sources — location, history, natural resources, famous people, economy, culture, and fun facts.

Step 2

Report

Students create a presentation for the class and visitors — posters, displays, or digital work — and practice speaking clearly like county experts.

Step 3

County float

At home, students create a county float to showcase what makes their county special. Be creative, use materials you have, show important places or symbols, and bring it to the fair.

Fair day fun

  • Our school will be filled with amazing county displays.
  • Students will visit each county, learn from classmates, and celebrate Utah’s diversity.
  • A wonderful way to build pride in our state and our communities.

Last week of school

Utah Program

To end our year of learning, our class will perform a Utah History program for the school. We’ll share what we’ve learned through songs, skits, readings, and more.

  • Celebrate our state’s story.
  • Showcase our hard work and teamwork.
  • Share with pride and make memories to last.
